This evening event screens the movie Finding The Money exposing the myths we're told about money and used to stop the action we need transition to a fair and just decarbonised society. The event replaces these myths with evidence-based thinking the audience can use to shape a prosperous and sustainable world. The event kicks-off at 6pm and the movie running time is 95 minutes that'll be followed by a 30-40 minute panel discussion with moderator. As part of MAG&M’s Collective for Environmental Art & Design initiative, contemporary artist Anna Madeleine Raupach will present the Climate Sign Project in Manly during Climate Action Week. This participatory artwork invites the community to create in advance climate protest signs, which will be digitised and placed as augmented reality (AR) installations across Manly Cove and within the gallery. Highlighting the power of collective action, the project offers a platform for public voices to be heard in response to the environmental crisis.

We are an Australian not-for-profit organisation working for the protection of forest and Orangutan survival in Sumatra and Borneo, Indonesia. We also work with local communities, teaching sustainability practices,the ecosystem and the critically endangered animals they live alongside. We have goods made from recycled products, palm oil free handmade soaps, Orangutan adoptions and books available from our stand amongst other merchandise. Our volunteers are also always happy just to chat with attendees about what we do and how we can make a difference.

The Climate Workshop is an interactive group exercise guided by a trained facilitator where people work together to test solutions for addressing climate change. Participants in the workshop propose climate solutions such as energy efficiency, carbon pricing, fossil fuel taxes, deforestation reduction, and carbon dioxide removal. The facilitator tests these approaches in the Climate Solutions Simulator so participants can see the impact on global temperature and other factors in real-time. The workshop aims to create a scenario that limits global warming to well below 2°C and aims for 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, the international goals formally recognised in the Paris Climate Agreement.
